Templates

Templates are DOCX files with placeholders that Clark can fill using known workspace data.

Upload A Template

  1. Prepare a DOCX file.
  2. Add placeholders such as {{company_name}}, {{date}}, or {{amount}}.
  3. Send the file to Clark with a caption containing template.
  4. Open the Templates page to confirm it was saved.

Fill A Template

Use the dashboard or ask in chat:

Clark, fill the contract template for Acme

Clark can select templates by hook, such as invoice, contract, act, proposal, nda, power_of_attorney, protocol, waybill, report, certificate, or letterhead.

Best Practices

  • Use clear placeholder names.
  • Keep one template per document type.
  • Put {{company_logo}} only where the logo should appear, usually once in the header. Clark does not add a logo unless the placeholder exists.
  • Put {{company_stamp}} / {{stamp}} only in the provider/company signature block. It is your company stamp, not the client's stamp.
  • Keep image placeholders alone in their own paragraph or table cell; do not write them as examples inside normal text.
  • Review generated files before sharing externally.
  • Update templates when your legal or business wording changes.
